We had the BEST day out with our guide Peter.
Although we were his only passengers he gave us the full tourist treatment.
Peter planned and suggested a day out to suit our needs. We were treated to honey, cheese and wine tasting as we made our way around the countryside to the Sheep and Dog show. We were given the most entertaining display of working with the sheep including the dogs interacting throughout.
I really loved being able to try my hand at shearing a sheep and then feeding the lambs with bottles.
We highly recommend Peter and his tours that will take you wherever you may want to go in New Zealand. Margaret & Bill Wood Hervey Bay, Qld

We took a private tour with Peter for 3 days and 2 nights to Waitomo, Hobbiton, Te Puia, Huka Falls and Taupo. We also took the wilderness day tour a few days after we got back to Auckland. It was VIP treatment all the way for me, my husband and our two children. Peter was very kind and accommodating. He was thoughtful and very considerate of everyone's needs. For the long trips, he made sure to prepare drinks and snacks for the kids. He even brought videos for them to watch. The tour was very flexible and unhurried. The kids were able to take their time and explore whatever it was that caught their attention. He took notice of what the kids liked and suggested restaurants and stops that would be enjoyable for them, such as Rainbow Springs and the Kiwi Valley Farm. Peter was exactly the kind of guide my family needed. We all came home very satisfied, with loads of very happy memories. Thanks for an awesome trip. God bless.

My husband and I were fortunate to spend 2 days touring NZ with Peter...such a wonderful, memorable 2 days. It was most impromptu, with Peter assembling tours for us at the last minute. Our tours were so fabulous that I wonder what he could have put together for us had he been given more than 4 days.Wine tasting, trips to the beaches and botanical gardens, the honey hive and fabulous lunches were interspersed between knowledgeable and interesting narrative. Peter is most gracious, thoughtful and considerate of his guests.I highly recommend "Coast to Coast" tours and Peter, and I would not hesitate to tour with him again!

Peter met us at the cruise port in Auckland for our afternoon tour. We started off with Peter pointing out various areas of interest in the city and dropping us to view the botanic gardens, which were beautiful. It was then out of the city to Muriwai Beach to view the gannet colony and the excellent scenery of the area. All the time he gave us a commentary of places of interest, history of the area and info about himself. It was then to Soljans winery for wine tasting. Peter was flexible enough to ask us what we then wanted to do and gave us a couple of options. We opted for another winery visit and this was duly provided at Hunting Lodge winery. Auckland has much more to offer than just a beautiful city, this excellent tour showed a lot of it.

I was drawn to Coast to Coast initially because of Peter's responsiveness to my email inquiries. My mom and I booked two tours with Peter during our stay in New Zealand, the Sheep World tour and the Hobbiton movie set tour. Peter is incredibly thoughtful, personable and professional. We are particularly pleased that he tailored the itinerary to our preferences. For example, knowing that we are light drinkers and cheese fanatics, he omitted the second winery checkpoint and took us to a Puhoi Valley store where we found some of the best cheeses in town! We had a blast in Auckland and this is attributed largely to Peter's amazing tours. We wish him continued success in the future!

My husband and I had a delightful tour with Peter (owner/tour guide) yesterday. It was Monday, and we were his only tourists. He picked us up where we are staying, and drove us to Muriwai beach and 2 wineries. He's very friendly, personable, professional, and we really appreciated his flexibility, adapting the tour to our preferences, e.g., omitting the craft show and adding an extra winery instead, and giving us extra time to stroll along the beach. We chatted along the way; Peter passed on lots of interesting information and answered all our questions; we feel we know more about New Zealand now. We'll remember the tour fondly. Don't miss this tour - you'll love it.

Peter, the owner/operator of Coast to Coast Tours, met us at our hotel in his very clean 11 passenger van. Our tour included an overview of Auckland, featuring the Parnell district and the beautiful Winter Gardens at the Auckland War Memorial, built upon an extinct volcano, the Arataki Visitor Centre in the micro-rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges, a delicious lunch (included and of our choosing) and wine tasting at the Soljens Winery in Kemeu, a breathtaking hike on the cliffs of the Tasman Sea to view the gannets and their chicks, followed by another wine tasting at Hunting Lodge. Peter gave a superb narrative throughout the tour. His charm and attention to detail added to the fascinating history, culture and landscape of this tour. We highly recommend Coast to Coast Tours!

My husband and I had a great tour with Peter despite the weather not being the greatest. I would highly recommend this tour! Lunch was fabulous and we stopped at 3 wineries for wine tasting and enjoyed our beach stop to see the gannet colony. A very enjoyable day!

Peter picked us up at our hotel in Auckland in his eleven passenger van. He had a large group this morning and we were his only participants for this afternoon. We drove around Auckland to get oriented and then he headed west out of town. He narrated about the area and the native peoples as we drove to Muriwai Beach to see the gannets and terns on their breeding grounds with their newborn chicks. We also noted the black beaches and the hang gliders taking off on the hillsides and landing on the beach below. We stopped at Soljans Winery for tasting and an opportunity to learn about their wines and facilities. We visited Massey Gardens and Orchards to try their fresh strawberries in ice cream cones or milk shakes. Peter had us back to our hotel by 5 pm. We had a great time with Peter exploring the villages and things to see around Auckland.

The whole day was highly enjoyable. Peter was great as a host and we enjoyed all the stops on the way, the wine tatsting and lunch but Sheepworld was great fun and a highlight. As there just 2 of us we really got the best service. Highly recommend this day trip.
